OverviewAs part of our Les portables book series-partnered with the Montreal-based photography centre Dazibao-Nadia Seboussi: Hadid features the dynamic and thought-provoking work of Nadia Seboussi, the Algerian-born artist who now lives and works in Quebec. Featuring stills from her latest video installation, this monograph displays the highly expressive imagery that comes out of Seboussi's practice. Through choreographed performances, the artist places emphasis upon body language and facial expressions resulting from physical engagements. Nadia Seboussi previously studied Applied Communications Studies and Electrical Engineering at the University of Algiers before emigrating to Canada in 2002, where she completed an MFA in Visual and Multi Media Art. Through her artistic career she has been awarded several scholarships and awards including the Pierre-Ayot Award in 2010, as well as a contemporary art scholarship from the Claudine and Stephen Bonfman Fellowship of Contemporary Art. Published in partnership with Dazibao.
