Callison was an early reader, reading the Humpty Dumpty magazine by himself even before he attended kindergarten. By the end of the third grade, he was reading on an eighth grade level and had read volumes A-H of the World Book Encyclopedia. He has a personal library of well over two thousand books and has read nearly all of them, some multiple times. Callison came to writing later in life, fulfilling a life-long ambition. His first novel Stranded at Romson's Lodge (Morgan James Publishing, 2016), was followed by a novelette, My Donkey and the Master (self, 2017), and a novella, Rotund Roland (self, 2018). His flash-fiction, ""Danlions for Memorial Day,"" was selected for an anthology by Clarendon House Publishing (Yorkshire UK) in 2018. He has also written articles for magazines and blogs both in the US and in the UK. As a creative, I was a woman searching for the magic to make sense of my tumultuous complicated life. Inspiration came in the form of an amazing woman named Margaret, who was the studio model for ""Tinkerbell"" in the original movie ""Peter Pan."" Tinkerbell took me by the hand and sprinkled me with pixie dust, encouraged me to look for the things I didn't know I needed, and shared her serendipitous personality. This fortuitous magic ignited the curiosity in my very active imagination and started my adventure that led to a lifetime of writing and illustrating the stories that I now share with families and children everywhere. It is an amazing world of everyday magic. I started writing and illustrating books when I was in high school completing more than two dozen children's titles in those early years. My self-publishing career started with the Zontoria Series Book1 ""Spirit of the Crystal"". Presently having completed over 18 books as a PROOF OF CONCEPT for that collection, it was only fitting to name my new business Zontoria Productions. In our world of the increasing complexity of sameness, I try to make my books refreshing, featuring simple stories of fantasy based on real life. All of my books are a little bit different than others available. I share the best and most inspirational pieces of my world. I learned at a young age that life is like a paint pallet of colors, when mixed in different portions, make rainbows or mud. I prefer rainbows. As a children's book illustrator for others, it has taken many years of learning, improving my techniques, and striving for excellence, to feel comfortable offering my services. I really enjoy creating the best, most expressive images possible. I believe a picture says a thousand words and I take extra time to develop personalities, add little details and surprises in my art creations, to enhance the writer's words. What fun it is to have a job that makes me laugh and helps others make their book publishing dreams come true. I am truly blessed. Donna J.
