Author Information

I was born sewing. I started sewing my own clothes when I was 9 yrs old, and now I'm over 50. Then I started designing, and writing quilt patterns. I have published one Quilt Book called Log Cabin Quilts: A Brand New Story by Karen Murphy. You can still buy it on Amazon. Yes, Karen Murphy. As soon as it was published, I got married! So much for all that name recognition! My husband and I have (between us) 7 children, 14 grands. We lived in Joplin, MO, until he passed away from liver cancer. After that I moved back home to Idaho to be closer to my family. I also have a job (I still work at home though) as Editor of The Quilt Pattern Magazine. It's online (we save trees) and focused on Quilt Patterns! I love all my work, and could happily give up all housecleaning and cooking in order to keep working. Some might say that I have. They might be right. But I do try to keep the dust bunnies corralled as best I can. Writing and editing are two of my favorite things to do. The characters in these books have become like family to me, and they still want to do another book, so Book 3 is underway.
