Reviews

This pandemic has taken a toll on every individual whether young or old. Trying to explain the changes to a nine and four-year-old are not easy at all. This book allowed us to have a conversation, dig deep in to our emotions, and find suggestions on how to make this pandemic load a little easier for younger children. I recommend this book for all children of all ages. -Gia As soon as we received our copy (in a super timely fashion) my daughter had to take the book and read it! As she's reading, she's stopping to tell me what it's about: Mom, it's about what's going on right now! About the coronavirus. She keeps reading. When she's done she moves on for a while. Later that night, when I'm putting her to bed, she tells about how she's feeling. This book is perfect for creating a space for our children to process what is going on in an age appropriate way. I highly recommend. -Micheal B This book makes it easier to talk to your child about Covid-19. It reassures the reader that even though life is currently much different than what we are used too, everything will be okay! It's very relatable and I strongly recommend this book to add to your child's bookshelf -Kayla Spears This is a great book to help kids better understand COVID-19. It addresses a lot of concerns kids have, in a way they can understand. The pictures are very nice and engaging too. Highly recommend!! -Kimberly Johnson I like the message intended in this book for children to understand and conquer their fears, especially in this certain situation of covid virus spread. The conversation between the mom and her boy is helping us explain to children the situation in such a good way and calm their fears, thanks to the writer for this important message.-Gihan This book offers some really common feelings that children may be experiencing as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic. It offers validation of those feelings and comfort. Good for parents who want to discuss these things with their kids but maybe are struggling to find words. I'd recommend using voices for read alouds to distinguish the characters - the text is written in dialogue without he said/she saids. Illustrations are expressive. -Javon
