He wrote his very first Mimpy story when he was five years old. By the time he was ten he had written lots of Mimpy books to entertain his younger brother and sister. He typed them up on his mother's old-fashioned typewriter, drew the pictures and stapled all the pages together. Now after many years of writing stories about humans, Gary has returned to his furry black and white friend and is giving Mimpy the twenty-first century treatment with Mimpy and the Fainting Goat. Bec Wiggins has been an avid illustrator since she was about your age (yes, you!). Due to illness as a child, Bec found a lot of joy in bringing her vivid imagination to life through beautiful creations with paper, pen, paint, and now through technology. Bec hopes that one day she'll be able to be a pop-star/prime minister/artist, like she always wanted to when she was little. If you want to see what else Bec is up to or have any questions about art yourself, please ask Mum or Dad for permission to have a look at Bec's work at www.fineblackline.art.
