After graduating in Mining Engineering from MBM Engineering College, Jodhpur, he was posted in Himgir Rampur Colliery in Brajarajnagar, Odisha. There he started taking immense interest in Odia language and started translating many masterpieces of Odia literature in Hindi. So far, he has published 30 books into his credit. Currently he is working as the Chief Manager (Mining) at Mahanadi Coalfields in Talcher, Odisha. He is best known as a critic and reviewer in Hindi literature at the national level.
