Table of ContentsReviewsAuthor InformationJohn Paul Wright is Professor of Criminal Justice in the School of Criminal Justice at the University of Cincinnati. Professor Wright received his Ph.D. in criminal justice from the University of Cincinnati in 1996. He has since published over 100 scientific articles, books, and book chapters on the development of juvenile delinquency and violence. Dr. Wright is best known for his work in biosocial criminology, which has invigorated research into the genetic and biological foundations of crime and violence. In addition, Dr. Wright is a highly sought after presenter and has given lectures across the United States. The late Karen Matison Hess, PhD, wrote extensively in law enforcement and criminal justice, gaining a respected reputation for the consistent pedagogical style around which she structured each textbook. She co-authored multiple editions of MANAGEMENT AND SUPERVISION IN LAW ENFORCEMENT, CRIMINAL INVESTIGATION, JUVENILE JUSTICE, and INTRODUCTION TO LAW ENFORCEMENT AND CRIMINAL JUSTICE in addition to CONSTITUTIONAL LAW AND THE CRIMINAL JUSTICE SYSTEM; much of her work and influence remains unchanged in this new edition.
