Ideal for children practising their reading at home or in school. If a microwave explodes or there are bubbles all over the bathroom floor, it's bound to have been because of Alfie Braithwaite. Only Alfie swears that it's all the fault of Dave, the terrible gremlin that lives in his sock drawer. But one day Dave really does appear and starts to wreak more havoc than even Alfie could have imagined! Will Alfie catch Dave? And will Alfie's parents ever believe that it really wasn't him? This mischievous and thought-provoking adventure from best-selling and award-winning author Joanna Nadin is perfect for children who are learning to read by themselves and for Key Stage 1. It features engaging illustrations from Pauline Reeves and quirky characters young readers will find hard to resist. _______________ Bloomsbury Young Readers are the perfect way to get children reading, with book-banded stories by brilliant authors like Julia Donaldson.
