Author Information

Irina Popova (born 1986, Russia) graduated from Tver State University with a degree in journalism and subsequently studied photography at the Moscow Rodchenko Photography and Multimedia School, with Irina Meglinskaya and Oleg Klimov as tutors. She won numerous prizes in Russia and abroad, including the Best Photographer of Russia (2009) and an honourable mention by UNICEF. Irina has held personal and group exhibitions including participating in the Noorderliccht Festival (The Netherlands, 2009) and Photoquai Biennale (Paris 2011). For the past two years she has been a resident at the Rijksadenie in Amsterdam, where she currently lives.
