Overview

Something sinister is happening in the mountain community of Redford, Colorado. Battling his own personal demons, Police Chief Jonah Westfall knows the dark side of life and has committed himself to eradicating it. When a pair of raccoons are found mutilated, Jonah investigates the gruesome act right away in hopes that he can stop the twisted behavior before it escalates. Jonah's investigation forces him to involve candle maker Tia Monroe, a childhood friend who refuses to let him hurt anyone she loves again, veterinarian Liz Rainier, who is new to town, and Piper, the young woman running the local bakery. Forever haunted by his own past, Jonah vows to protect Redford and the people he cares about. But he can't penetrate every wound or secret -- especially one fueled by love and guilt teetering on madness.
