Overview

William and Thomas are two best friends with a lot of great ideas. The only problem is things never go as planned. William always seems to have fantastic ideas, like scaring his mom, hosting a pool party, impersonating a celebrity, selling the neighbor's house, putting a giant TV in his tree, and taking his grandma on a camping trip. However, his best friend Thomas usually disapproves of the plans. The best thing is William never listens and goes through with his master plans. The results are hilarious as things never work out for poor William. Don't worry because William never gives up. He always has another plan!

If your kids like Diary of a Wimpy Kid, they will like this book. DD Amazon What makes the book most enjoyable is that the pranks these boys plan and execute (very poorly, I'm afraid) are pranks our grandparents could have planned. But the author has taken these wholesome hijinks and made them current and refreshing. XanMax's Dad Amazon

Author Information

Mark Gunning grew up in the village of Chippawa ( which is part of Niagara Falls) back in the early 70s and 80s. He was very fortunate to have some great adventurous friends along the way. As he got older and wiser he enjoyed sharing some his adventures with his new friends and students. Luckily, he met another children's author back in 2010. This encounter motivated him to pursue his dream and create the 'I Told You So!' series for kids. Andy Thomson grew up in Crystal Beach, Ontario. When he isn't enjoying time with his family, he can be found playing guitar or drawing. Andy met Mark while working together at Peace Bridge Public School in Fort Erie. This is Andy's first time illustrating for an author and is grateful to Mark for the opportunity to create the images for his characters.
