We have all heard at one time or another, the African proverb It takes a village to raise a child . The value of friendship is within this proverb; the friendship that we received from our parents, our siblings, our neighborhood friends and their parents. Remembering good friends is the reason why this short story was written. Reading this short story will make you stop, if just for a moment, and remember those friends that you have cherished in life.
