OverviewThe 4th Nizam's Cavalry was raised in 1826 by Capt. Sir John Gordon, and officer of the coldstream guards. Thereafter it took part in numerous 19th century campagns and was for many years almost continuously in action against minor warlords and minor criminall gangs in Central India.
