Author Information

Bill Stokes, born in Barron, Wisconsin, began his writing career as an outdoor writer for Stevens Point Daily Journal. He went on to write for many years at the Wisconsin State Journal, the Milwaukee Journal, and the Chicago Tribune before retiring to pursue freelance work. His work has appeared in many national publications, among them Reader's Digest, Outdoor Life, and Sports Afield. He has compiled three anthologies of his newspaper writing and authored two children's books. MacLeod Andrews is an actor, voice actor, and Earphones Award-winning audiobook narrator who earned the prestigious Audie Award for best narration in 2018. He has starred in a number of independent short and feature films and is a member of the Rising Phoenix Repertory Company in New York City. R. C. Bray is an award-winning audiobook narrator with over 180 titles to his credit. Besides winning five AudioFile Earphones Awards, he won the prestigious Audie Award in 2015 for Best Science Fiction Narration and has been an Audie Award finalist seven times. He has been a finalist for the Voice Arts Award, and in 2014, his narration earned a Publishers Weekly Listen-Up Award. He is also an accomplished producer and voice-over artist, and his voice can be heard in countless TV and radio commercials. James Anderson Foster is an audiobook narrator who has been nominated for three Voice Arts Awards for best audiobook narration in the categories of science-fiction, fantasy, and mystery. He has been praised for his conversational delivery and ability to sound exactly like the voice you were imagining in your head. Born and raised on the west coast, he has lived in the Midwest for over a decade but still considers Oregon home. Joe Hempel, best known for his rich narrations, has entertained listeners with over one hundred audiobooks in genres ranging from horror and mystery to science fiction, romance, and personal development. Stefan Rudnicki is an award winning audiobook narrator, director and producer. He was born in Poland and now resides in Studio City, California. He has narrated more than three hundred audiobooks and has participated in over a thousand as a writer, producer, or director. He is a recipient of multiple Audie Awards and AudioFile Earphones Awards as well as a Grammy Award, a Bram Stoker Award, and a Ray Bradbury Award. He received AudioFile's award for 2008 Best Voice in Science Fiction and Fantasy. Along with a cast of other narrators, Rudnicki has read a number of Orson Scott Card's best-selling science fiction novels. He worked extensively with many other science fiction authors, including David Weber and Ben Bova. In reviewing the twentieth anniversary edition audiobook of Card's Ender's Game, Publishers Weekly stated, Rudnicki, with his lulling, sonorous voice, does a fine job articulating Ender's inner struggle between the kind, peaceful boy he wants to be and the savage, violent actions he is frequently forced to take. Rudnicki is also a stage actor and director. David Stifel trained at the Yale School of Drama and has worked for such noted film directors as Steven Spielberg and Danny Boyle.
