Starting a new business could prove to have dire consequences with Gunn & Chen Investigations' latest case. Fresh off their victory of taking out a dangerous serial killer, Nick Gunn & his partner Cindy Chen are settling into the life of private investigators. But it's not all insurance fraud and catching cheating spouses; a mysterious woman seeking help to find her kingpin husband forces Nick to revisit his old Major Crimes Division stomping grounds, where the air still smells of stale coffee and desperation.
