Overview

Sophie was having a difficult time not crying at her grandmother's funeral. She loved Gramma so much, and she already missed her greatly. But Grandpa sat down with his granddaughter, and they talked about all the wonderful memories they had of Gramma, memories that wrote Gramma's life story, her legacy. Grandpa explained that even though Gramma's life story here had finished, her spirit would live on in the memories she made for those who loved her. Sophie was still sad, but she felt a little better knowing her Gramma's spirit still lived inside of her through all of the memories they had made together. This story allows adults to tenderly navigate the grief children feel when a loved one passes away and give them a sense that good memories of the departed can be comforting later on.
