Dr Panagiotis Kontakos is Assistant Professor of International Business and Deputy Dean of the School of Business and Management at UCLan Cyprus, where he also chairs the Innovation and Enterprise (I&E) Committee. He has over 12 years of academic experience and a prior 16-year career in corporate governance, international finance and M&As across Southeast Europe and the Eastern Mediterranean. His research focuses on sustainable investments, global entrepreneurship, and regional development. A prolific author and keynote speaker, he frequently contributes to global scientific and business conferences. He has served as Senior Expert at the European Court of Auditors and collaborated with the OECD on entrepreneurship policy evaluation. Dr Kontakos holds multiple postgraduate degrees and professional qualifications. He is a Fellow of the UK Higher Education Academy and certified by GARP as an Energy Risk Professional (ERP) and in Banking Risk and Regulation (FRR), and by the IMF Institute for Capacity Development.
