Reviews

This is a great debut novel by an author sure to be hailed as the new Richard Milward on the block. Flick is a brilliant, unforgettable moment in the life of two teenagers: a sweet taste of young life. Middlesbrough Evening Gazette Tarttelin (who is only 23) is a very talented writer and Flick is a strong debut novel. Particularly impressive are the scenes depicting everyday life for the disaffected youth of Marske-on-Sea [..] Flick's voice is both authentic and compelling, and readers will readily sympathise with him, despite some of the activities he (unwillingly) engages in.
