Overview

It's a new world -- complex and increasingly interconnected. Living in such a world doesn't mean we all have to agree on solutions, but it does mean that we must learn how to mediate cultural differences in order to solve common problems. ""Emerging ""immerses your students in global ideas and global thinking to help them develop the critical thinking skills needed to meet the demands of a new age. With selections drawn from a variety of disciplines, ""Emerging ""provides complex ideas in approachable language to help students learn to decode, interpret, and compose texts on today's urgent concerns -- and provides the concepts and tools students need to advocate for change.
