WARNING: This book is a wild campy ride, it is full of cliche and tropes that are taken straight from every, terrible, low-budget B-rate sci-fi movie you've ever seen. You've been warned. Welcome to the world of Terrafirma V. Christopher Grey is a Dune Buster, a mercenary who specialises in hunting down criminals in the wastelands. With the help of his owl-cyborg, Kato, he's used to travelling far and wide. But, with a success rate of 60/40, his reputation is on the line. He's positive that he's about to get the pink slip. And then he's summoned for a particular case. The Imperial Commission Office, known as ICO, has contracted Grey to bring in Samantha Cowell, a girl from his past who's been running an illegal cyborg chop-shop on his old desert island home and ICO wants it shut down. But things aren't what they seem. ICO employees start turning up dead across the continents, and the killers are decidedly not human. ICO is determined to place the blame squarely onto Samantha, but Chis isn't buying it. He soon finds himself embroiled in a nefarious plot aimed to take down ICO itself, but at the same time, he's conflicted by his growing feelings towards Sam. But her mechanical know-how and her pack of augmented velociraptors might be the only thing that can save them.
