Antonio J. GONZALEZ-FERNANDEZ (1957) is Venezuelan, married, with a son born in 2006, is an rural producer and a naturalist. He obtained the degree of Zootechnician at Universidad del Llano (UNELLEZ 1985), followed by a master's degree in Wildlife Management (UNELLEZ 1995) and a PhD in Agricultural Zoology at Universidad Central de Venezuela (UCV 2013). He currently works as a teacher and researcher at the National Experimental University of the Western Llanos Ezequiel Zamora (UNELLEZ) and works with NGOs such as the civil association MANFAUNA and the Venezuelan Network of Private Areas for Conservation APRINATURA . His field of action are animal production systems, wildlife conservation, biodiversity and sustainable rural development in general. He is a creative and optimistic entrepreneur whose thoughts are summed up well in his sentence: It is necessary to work harder when you want to climb an escalator that is going down... but you can! . Thanks to this way of thinking, he still stays in his country Venezuela, struggling to survive and live in his land, with his people, with his animals and with his rocks, rivers and mountains. ================================ Antonio J. Obtuvo el grado de Zootecnista en la Universidad del Llano (UNELLEZ 1985), luego realizo la maestria en Manejo de Fauna Silvestre (UNELLEZ 1995) y el doctorado en Zoologia Agricola en la Universidad Central de Venezuela (UCV 2013). Se desempena actualmente como docente e investigador de la Universidad Nacional Experimental de los Llanos Occidentales Ezequiel Zamora (UNELLEZ) y trabaja con organizaciones no gubernamentales como la asociacion civil Centro de Investigacion y Manejo de Fauna Silvestre MANFAUNA y la Red Venezolana de Areas Privadas para la Conservacion APRINATURA . Su campo de accion son los sistemas de produccion animal, la conservacion de fauna silvestre, biodiversidad y el desarrollo rural sostenible en general; pero el es muy creativo y es un optimista emprendedor cuyos pensamientos se resumen bien en su frase: Es necesario esforzarse mucho mas cuando se quiere subir por una escalera mecanica que va bajando... !pero si se puede! . Gracias a esa forma de pensar, el aun permanece en su pais Venezuela, luchando para sobrevivir y vivir en su tierra, con su gente, con sus animales y con sus rocas, rios y montes.
