Since 2007, she has authored over 35 books. Kari-Lynn has received the British Columbia Book Prize silver medal twice and has garnered multiple nominations for awards such as the Forest of Reading (e.g., French Toast) and the Chocolate Lily Awards (e.g., Good Pirate). Notably, her book, Bad Pirate won the prestigious Rainforest of Reading Award. Currently holding a Full Professor position in Brock University ‘s Faculty of Education, Dr. Winters teaches literacy and the arts to teacher candidates. She lives in St. Catharines, ON. Dave Whamond has illustrated over 60 books, including 5 for Robert Munsch, and has written a few himself, including the Oddrey series, My Think-a-ma-jink and Rosie’s Glasses. Dave’s awards include 2 Blue Spruce awards, a Silver Birch and 8 Silver Reuben awards from the National Cartoonists Society. His former high school chose him for a Hall of Fame award (which was a huge honor... and super weird). Dave graduated from the Alberta College of Art and Design in 1987 and later taught 3rd and 4th year Advanced Illustration there for 9 years.
