OverviewLorraine was an accomplished writer of poetry and prose and attended numerous events on the Devon poetry 'circuit'. Her husband Rodney was a highly regarded poet also and Lorraine worked tirelessly in support of his work. Although many of the poems in this collection were written after Rod's death in 2014, they explore family history in all its mysteries, agonies and contradictions, reaching back well over a century. Lorraine made her final home in Crediton, where she continued to cast an ironic but humane eye on contemporary life and its concerns. Lorraine was a member of the Shobrooke writing group from its formation in 2015 until her death in December 2023. Her fellow writers are proud to share her work with her large circle of friends and a wider public.
