Dare to Believe

Overview

It was a beautiful spring day. My son and I went to church, movies and dinner. At the end of the day, he said ""Mommy, look!"" Then he moved the collar of his shirt and exposed his neck. I gasped ""Oh my God, we have to see the doctor!"" A small mass grew exponentially. A joyous day turned somber. Kelvin at 24 years old was diagnosed with cancer. Yet we did not panic. We laid our burdens at the feet of Jesus. We held unto our faith believing that ""all things are possible to him who believes."" And although we were emotionally drained, physically exhausted, and economically taxed, we did not give up. 2 Corinthians 4:8 ""We are hard pressed on every side but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair"". A journey of twists and turns! This book demonstrates how God works with those who Dare to Believe and have faith. His mercy unwavering, his grace unbounding and his provision never ending. Hyacinth Reid serves as a leader of church small groups, fostering relationships with others to grow spiritually. She was the Care Liaison in the Care Ministry with the resolve to help those going through crisis. Kelvin Ali is a Certified Personal Trainer who specializes in helping people with health affliction get in shape. He was featured in Rare Magazine and T-Nation.com and has published several articles. Hyacinth and Kelvin live in New York. They have a strong sense of compassionate empathy for the disadvantaged and marginalized.
