Shelley wrote CUBS in Trouble because she loves koala bears and wanted to feature a story about their struggle with deforestation. CUBS in Trouble is a sequel to PINK with Envy as it features the same koala bear characters such as Kana the big sister and the two onery little brothers Kola and his best friend Klip from The Kindergarten Koala. Shelley hopes to intrigue young readers as well as educate them with the whimsical tale yet real life troubles of a koala bear. You have to really get your lips going if you want to imitate the sounds of the dirt moving monster machines. Bbbbrooommmmgaroar!!!

Shelley Mitchell was born in Paola, KS and her family moved to Windsor, MO when she was 10 years old where she grew up and graduated HS.She and her husband Mark of 30 years live in Cabool, MO where they are both retired. They have 6 children between them, 13 grandchildren, one great-granddaughter and a great-grandson!
