Overview

Using lots of colour step-by-step photos & a unique Traffic Light Crochet Teaching System, Ali will take Crochet Beginners through a series of projects that are written in easy to understand patterns, which will help to build confidence in pattern reading & Crochet techniques in no time at all. Beginners are often left to fend for themselves when it comes to pattern reading, once they've learnt a few basic stitches & this could break a newly self taught or newly taught crocheters confidence. By purchasing this book, you will not only learn to read patterns more fluently, but you'll learn lots of simple tips & tricks along the way, which you will take with you and your crochet forever & hopefully pass your newly learnt knowledge on to others too! You will also learn to Crochet expertly in Rows & Rounds, Crochet socks, Hats, Granny Squares & lots more, including colour changes, joining methods & finishing touches. There are 10 easy to follow pattern projects incorporating her Crochet Traffic Light Teaching system, that have all been designed by Ali, who has successfully taught these patterns to many pupils in the last few years with GREAT results. You will need to know the basic stitches - Double Crochet & Treble Crochet and have a chunky weight wool /yarn & a 6mm or 6.5mm hook to get started in your next crochet journey - from Beginner to Improver! All patterns are written in UK Crochet Terminology.

Author Information

"Ali Campbell is passionate about Crochet. There is nothing that she likes doing more than when she's teaching Crochet from her Crochet Classroom in Dorset and at other local venues. She teaches both One 2 One classes & also weekly workshops to Beginners, Improvers and Intermediates. She was taught the basics as a child & learnt to make a Foundation Chain along with Double Crochet & Trebles, which was all that was Crochet at the time. The rest came later as the craft itself evolved especially in more recent years, so in the main she is self-taught & loves to keep up to date with new trends and techniques. Ali loves to design Crochet too and has had patterns published in Inside Crochet Magazine & in other Craft Magazines & Books in the UK. She has also created and published the UK's first Crochet eLearning Course which is very well subscribed. Course 1 - The Basics Course 2 - The Next Step & Course 3 - The Finishing Touches All these courses have the written word, step by step photographs & Crochet Video Tutorials too! You can upload your photo's & questions via the course & Ali will be your ""virtual"" teacher, answering you as soon as she puts her hook down. For full details of these eLearning Courses go to: www.gethookedoncrochet.co.uk www.macscrochet.blogspot.com"
