Overview

As the 'second' black President of the United States Frederick Douglas Templeton is all too aware of the unstable precariousness of his position. His predecessor had been obliged to walk a very thin line, treading ever so lightly on political eggshells in order to prove that he...and other non-whites who might come after him...were suitable choices to participate at the highest levels of the American governing machine. Moultrie Lawrence Lowery was reared in Chadbourn, North Carolina then served his country in VietNam while in the U.S. Army. He now resides in Cheverly, Maryland in Prince George's County. He is a retired disabled veteran who fulfills much of his free time reading, writing and playing word & number games, i.e. Scrabble, Sudoku, crossword puzzles and KenKen. This is his first novel.
