Louis du Preez is a professor of Zoology at the North-West University, South Africa, where he heads the African Amphibian Conservation research group. His research interest lies with frogs and their parasites, subjects on which he publishes regularly. Vincent Carruthers is a well-known environmentalist, who has written and contributed to a range of highly regarded publications, including Frogs & Frogging (Struik Publishers).
