Overview

Many of the short stories in this book are based on Bible stories that will be familiar to you. Some may be less so. Prior to each story, I included scriptural passages that the story is based on. I gave careful thought to which version of the Bible I would use for the Scriptural passages. I wanted to make it inclusive to all Christians, not just those who share my Catholic faith, as I believe we have much more in common than what separates us. I also had to consider pragmatic issues, as some of the editions have copyright restrictions. I chose to go with The Christian Standard Bible, as it is acceptable for personal study although it does not include some books that are in Catholic editions. The stories that I chose to draw on for this book do not include passages from those books. I recognize that using AI to write stories is controversial. I understand both sides of this issue. I would state that for this project, the collaboration between ChatGPT and me has produced a final product that enhances what I would have been able to do by myself, although I still see myself clearly reflected in the final outcome. I suggest that you give the book a chance and decide for yourself if you think that what is produced here is worthwhile.
