Overview

A young boy and his grandfather row out onto Carter's Pond to catch the monstrous Argyle. Casting a frog lure the boy hopes to hook every fisherman's dream of landing the big fish no one has ever seen. Something grabs the line and he finds himself in an unexpected bind. Children aged 5 - 7 will love the exciting boy/fish battle, the energetic rhyming text, and the superbly drawn artwork. Grandparents/parents will also love the book, particularly if they plan on taking the young reader fishing. Although, possibly, they won't be facing a monster fish like the Argyle!
