Overview

The death toll rises as Val and Charlotte lie nearly dead from the explosion. Lilith trains her assistant and together, they exact revenge on a drug lord and his empire for his attempt to kill her friends. Two little girls help the Five Palisades unlock unfathomable horrors hidden in their ancestor's past. As the Five Palisades listen, an attack scatters them around the globe, making them search independently for The Palisade Priestess's treasure. New members join the Five Palisades and learn how deadly their travels will become as innocent people die next to them. It becomes a test of who has the best hired assassin; who, if left standing, saves, or destroys, millions of lives. The young black lady from The Palisade Priestess, Lilith Daisy Peters, matures into the leader of the pirate Hand Network in the Caribbean. Armed with scientists and computer nerds, she builds her Robin Hoodesque band of merry people into a stealthy digital den of pirates. As an original member of the Five Palisades, she joins her cohorts in uncovering ancient mysteries about the pirate community of the Voodoo Priestess. Hoping to conquer the Hand Network, the remnants of a drug cartel attack and scatter the Five Palisades, intending to pick them off one by one. The Five Palisades and their new recruits unravel deeper concerns, graver menaces, and unnerving personal revelations. With the assistance of two young girls, and the girls' spiritual protector, the Queen of Voodoo, the Five Palisades search for the hidden treasure left by Jade Pechette and her loyal lieutenants. Matters are complicated by betrayals by those closest to Jade's inner circle. The basis for the centuries old family feud unfolds leaving everyone shaken as they find out what happened and who was involved. More importantly, a curse they believed to remain in New Orleans followed them to Portland, endangering the lives of loved ones there.
