Brave Enough to Stay: Walking with God While Anxiety Walks with Me

Overview

Anxiety doesn't always announce itself. Sometimes it shows up as a tight chest at 3 a.m., a racing heart in a quiet pew, a weight that lingers long after the prayer is finished. Michael Jester knows this terrain - and refuses to pretend his way through it. Brave Enough to Stay is the book he wishes someone had handed him in the years he kept waiting for his faith to make the fear go away. Honest about what helped, honest about what didn't, it traces the slow work of staying - staying with God, staying with himself, staying in a life that anxiety would gladly hijack. The chapters move through what anxiety actually feels like, the lies it tells, what Scripture sounds like inside the fog, and what real tools look like when panic arrives. No formulas. No promises that prayer alone will fix you. Just the company of someone who has lived this and is still here.
