Overview

It's summer in Newfoundland, and Julia's nana wants to make a blueberry grunt, so Julia and her poppy head out to pick wild blueberries. Julia is a bit confused. Do blueberries grunt? She remembers hearing a pig grunt at a farm, but a blueberry? Now THAT would be funny! It isn't until after a mishap in the blueberry bushes that Julia discovers the true meaning of a blueberry grunt. This is a tender, funny, relatable story of multigenerational love and cultural tradition. An ode to food memories and the traditions that unite families, Blueberry Grunt brings readers together with a universal and timely message of love and the importance of quality time. Included in this book are two simple recipes for classic blueberry desserts so that readers everywhere, of all ages, can experience a part of Julia's adventure and a taste of Newfoundland.
