I originally come from England, where I worked as a doctor in clinical and research posts. I specialised in psycho-oncology and from 1991-2000 was consultant in psychological medicine with special interests in palliative care in Oxford, UK. Then I moved to New Zealand, and retrained as a Bach flower practitioner and life coach. I am involved with animal welfare, and enjoy choral singing. My interest in the human aspects of military aviation, which inspired 'Blue Moon for Bombers', stems from the experience of editing my late uncle's autobiography 'Geoffrey Guy's War: Memoirs of a Spitfire Pilot 1941-46'.
