Overview

Tasked by the governor to investigate a $300 million money laundering scheme involving a Boston insurance company, Attorney General Alan Knight no sooner lands in Bermuda, the focus of the suspected crimes, than he is seriously wounded by an unknown assassin. A speedy hospital recovery, assisted by fiancé Christy, allows Alan and his confidants to unravel a conspiracy involving high level Washington officials, black ops thugs, as well as executives in the insurance company's hierarchy. But the evildoers are ruthless, arranging murders in Bermuda, assassinating an FBI agent, and kidnapping Christy, all efforts to derail Knight's investigation. With assistance from the Bermuda police, the Massachusetts state police, a dying former insurance company employee, and eventually, the recipient of the nearly one-third of a billion dollars through a Cayman Island bank, Knight pursues the killers with focused vengeance. But with a fortune at stake and a trail of violent deaths, can Knight survive a violent showdown with desperate criminals?

Following graduation from the U. S. Naval Academy and Navy service, he attended Santa Clara University School of Law. Upon graduation he became a trial attorney with the U. S. Department of Justice, a career involving cases including organized crime, public corruption, large-scale drug investigations, and major frauds. After service as United States Attorney, he was selected to the Rhode Island Superior Court bench from which he is now retired and living on Cape Cod, Massachusetts with his wife.
