OverviewART ARTIST ARTICLES (1972-2024) is the Catalogue for an Exhibition by Roger Peters held during February/March 2026 across the Percy Thomson Gallery and Stratford District Library in Stratford, New Zealand. It features thirty-three items displayed adjacent to Press Clippings or Publications about his Art from 1972 to 2021, and his discovery in 1995 of Shakespeare's Sonnet philosophy. The works from the 1970s were created in Auckland, while the works from 1990 to 2021 were created in Taranaki. The years from the 1970s to the 1990s were spent researching the mythic rationale behind the art of Marcel Duchamp, the philosophy of Ludwig Wittgenstein and the biology of Charles Darwin. This led in 1995 to the first-ever appreciation of William Shakespeare's brilliant nature-based philosophy, evident in his 1609 Sonnets. After publishing nine books on Shakespeare's philosophy from 2005, Peters returned to exhibiting art in 2021. Table of ContentsReviewsAuthor InformationRoger Peters is an artist, philosopher and writer who lived in Auckland in the 1970s and since 1981 has lived and worked in Taranaki, New Zealand. In 1995, he detected a profound and comprehensive philosophy in Shakespeare's 1609 Sonnets. The depth and scope of the insight explains why Shakespeare's plays and poems are increasingly relevant to today's global audience. Peters presented Shakespeare's nature-based philosophy in a 1760-page, four-volume set, William Shakespeare's Sonnet Philosophy in 2005, and has published five further Volumes over the last few years.
