In Arctic Spirit, Canadian writer Ingo Hessel, the Albrechts' mentor and main advisor, presents the best of these works--nearly 200 sculptures, prints, drawings and fabrics, from prehistoric carvings to contemporary mixed media. Author Information

Ingo Hessel is an Inuit art consultant and writer whose publications include Inuit Art: An Introduction and Canadian Inuit Sculpture. For twelve years he was Special Projects Officer and Co-ordinator of the Canadian Inuit Art Information Centre of the Department of Indian and Northern Affairs for the Government of Canada. He is also a sculptor who has had nine solo exhibitions in Canada and Japan. He lives in Ottawa, Ontario.
