Overview

Another story unfolds in the Ohio River Valley as the clouds begin to part at long last for Justice Kingsman. Born to a prominent family of means and affluence, Justice is a young man marked by outward and inward beauty. However, two great tragedies mar what would've been an otherwise ideal life, and he finds grief a hard thing to overcome. Isaac Rosehart is a southern gentleman, cultured and well-heeled, and an immensely gifted musician. However, staid and older and wiser though he may be, he was too long in coming to grace and he forfeited the one woman he truly fell in love with. He never married, instead teaching music to a slew of students in Richmond. Thanks to his close ties to Justice's mother, he is invited to Rising Sun for a summer to further Justice's musical knowledge. Jenny Carls is a young woman who lives in a remote niche of Indiana, tucked in a backwoods town. She's mature, dutiful and a misfit. Her life is a rather mundane one, routine day in and day out, as she works hard to exist in a hardscrabble setting. It seems that's the rut she will be in for the rest of her life until a stranger rides into her world in the timeliest fashion. Join a fresh cast of characters-with a few old faces-as Justice finds healing, Isaac receives far more than he thought possible at this point in his life, and Jenny walks through the open door of a future broader than she imagined.
