Author Information

John Marsden is a well-known writer of young adult fiction. His books have sold over three million copies worldwide and he has won or been shortlisted for many major awards for children's and young adult literature in Australia, including CBCA Children's Book of the Year, the National Book Award and numerous others. Shaun Tan is the illustrator and author of award-winning children's books. He won an Academy Award for The Lost Thing, which was adapted from the book of the same title. In 2006 his wordless graphic novel The Arrival won the Book of the Year prize as part of the New South Wales Premier's Literary Awards. He is also the winner of the Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award 2011.
