Konstantinos Stolakis is a Geriatrician Specialized at the Geriatric University Clinic of Siena in Italy where he also completed his basic studies in Medicine. From 2008 until the completion of the specialty in July 2014, he actively participated in the research team of the Department of “Medical-Surgical and Neurological Sciences” of the University of Siena, gaining experience in the field of bone metabolic diseases, bone genetics, and physiopathology of osteoporosis, bone tissue interactions, glucose metabolism, cardiovascular disease, and diagnostic techniques for bone metabolic diseases, both clinically and in the laboratory. Since 2016, he maintains a private practice in Corinth where he offers his services as a Geriatrician. In November 2023, he was sworn in as a Doctor of Medicine at the University of Patras, with the research subject of his doctoral thesis on the role of vitamins B12 and D3 in balance and falls in the elderly. During the In the years 2018 and 2019, he was a University Fellow of the University of Patras in the Rehabilitation Clinic of Patients with Spinal Cord Injuries, participating in the Osteoporosis, Sarcopenia, and Falls prevention center. He was a member of the research team of the University of Patras that participated in the fulfillment of the European program: “Managing Frailty. A comprehensive approach to promote a disability-free advanced age in Europe: the ADVANTAGE initiative”. He was also a team member of the Healthy Living Laboratory (EYDia), an action of the Fragility Fracture Network Greece (FFN GR). The purpose of the action was a holistic view of the health and quality of life of the elderly in the community. At the same time, he has participated as a scholarship holder in the research team of the University of Patras, with the object of study the “Holistic interdisciplinary approach in the treatment of patients with fragility fractures”. He also participated in the project “Aeithaleia: Holistic program for volunteering of elderly people and their active participation in civic life” within the framework of the Active Citizens Fund program. His scientific fields of interest include osteoporosis and sarcopenia, falls prevention, geriatric frailty syndrome, diabetes mellitus, cardiometabolic diseases and dyslipidaemias, polypharmacy, dementia syndromes, etc. He has attended and participated in numerous conferences and educational seminars, while also presenting research work at national and international conferences and scientific journals. Along with his professional and scientific activity, Dr. Stolakis actively participates in various voluntary activities to promote Geriatrics in Greece, improve the care and life of the elderly, but also the healthy aging of the Greek elderly. He is a member of the Hellenic Society for the Study and Research of Aging (EEMEG) and a Founding member of the Fracture Fragility Network Greece (FFN GR). Dr Iris Efthymiou is a thought leader, university lecturer, and author of 17 books, specialising in AI ethics and behavioural health economics. Passionate about bridging technology and humanity, she advocates for ethical AI and user-centred design to enhance well-being and education in the digital age. She has served as a college director, founded a Public Affairs consultancy, worked with global leaders, and spoken at the UN in Geneva. She serves as an Academic Board Member of the LabHEM at the University of Piraeus, a Board Member of HAPSc and Guildhouse School in London, and a Member of the Business Intelligence Committee (BIC) of the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Artificial Intelligence (APPG AI) in the UK. She has published over 17 books, 40 articles, and book chapters in peer-reviewed journals, and she is the chief editor of the Journal of Politics and Ethics in New Technologies and AI. Iris has a Ph.D. in Behavioural Economics, a Master's in Health Economics and Management, and a Bachelor's in Economics.
