Overview

Age range 9 to 12 Teens and preteens are more stressed than they've ever been in past generations. In a culture that is so future- and goal-oriented, it's no wonder that there's a growing interest in parents to teach their kids about mindfulness, about slowing down and enjoying life. In this simple guided journal, kids will be asked to jot down their thoughts about a variety of topics, including food, travel, homework, and hobbies. The aim of the guides is to generate a sense of calm while also igniting the imagination. Prompts include: coming up with random acts of kindness to do, being mindful of daily joys and writing them down, describing what an amazing day looks like, and how to change a pessimistic attitude into an optimistic one, and many more.
