Author Information

Richard L. McBain, 65, was drafted into the Army in early 1969 while attending college. After his combat infantry training, he was assigned to the 101st Airborne Division in Vietnam, and served with Alpha Company, 2/502nd Infantry in Northern I Corps. He was awarded two Bronze Stars, one with V Device, as well as the Purple Heart, Air Medal, Army Commendation Medal, VNS, VNC, NDS and Good Conduct medals, with a Presidential Unit Citation, and his most prized award, the Combat Infantryman's Badge. He has been a business executive for over 30 years, a husband to Jackie for 43 years, father to Dan and Mike, and grand-father to Nathan, Cade, Mattie, and Carter. He is the author of seven published books, Itching Ears, The Baby Boomer Years, and a Children's four book series called The Children's Morals & Manners Series.
